Life is all about the little things. The sunrise shining just right through the homemade mobiles. The first cup of warm fresh coffee in the morning. I love these moments.
The sunrise a few days ago was brilliant. Here is one of the best in the series. Enjoy!
I have had some guests in town, so I am a bit late on these next few posts. But here is the art for Day 19. This was the first day I could get to my computer to scan it in. I will try and get the others scanned in by the end of the week.
This piece is something I have wanted to paint for a while. A map of the world in drippy watercolor. I added the astrological constellations in ink over the top. I love how colorful and energetic it is.
Yesterday was a really busy day. So I never got to finish this piece of art or post it.
This piece was inspired by the Pregnancy Testing article that was written in this encyclopedia. I decided to make a paper cut about animal testing. Can you see the mice, rabbit and frog legs?
The piece I made today turned out amazing. I used two pages from some encyclopedias and did some free hand paper cuts on them with an exacto knife. Then I painted a blue/purple background in watercolor and layered everything. There is so much movement to this piece. I think I will hang it on my wall for a while.
"Under The Sea" Watercolor and paper cut mixed media, 9x10.5 inches, 2014.
I made a little piece of interactive art for you all today. Here is a crazy maze for you to solve, if you want. Follow the path under the tunnels to the end. See the arrow at the bottom of the page? That's where you start. You end on the left side of the page. Don't cross the double lines. If you click on the picture you can download a PDF of the maze to print and solve if you like. Good Luck!
I just had a little photoshoot with my cat, Mythe, who decided to come visit me while I was trying to do some product photography. I thought these turned out great of both me and my very black cat. It is always a challenge to get a good photo of him. So my art for today is digital photography.
I am going to post some of my experiments and thoughts. It can be anything from photography to art to mycology
