I made this shirt as part of my spring cleaning madness. I have an entire room full of fabric that I really feel like I need to get rid of. So I have been sewing up some lovely clothes in a full hearted attempt at a destash. It is working. I now have 1 bin empty!

I have been working on this cuff for a few days now. I was originally gifted that piece of copper from my friend Rani and then we embossed it at her house one snowy afternoon. This piece of copper was very special and inspirational to me and needed to be show cased. So I got to work intricately beading this cuff one bead at a time with a needle and thread. After it was completely beaded I added the velvet backing in a rich chocolate brown and edged the entire piece in faceted amethyst. Most of those stones came from a beautiful necklace Andrew brought back from Bahrain when he was in the military. This really is a stunning piece. It would compliment any steampunk outfit or wear it any time as a statement. Of course it is all about the bees. I wanted to really say something with this piece.
"Honey Comb Garden" Hand Beaded cuff, 9.25x3 inches, fits up to 8 inch wrist, 2014. Available in my Etsy store. I was inspired to make this robe from the main floral pattern in this piece. It so reminded me of spring and all the cherry blossoms that rain down on us in the north west. This is for sale in my Etsy store. Truly one of a kind.
This sweet infinity scarf was made from the scraps left over from the shirt I made yesterday. Isn't it adorable! Only $12 in my Etsy store.
I made this shirt from some amazing sheer chevron fabric. It is so bright and breezy. Perfect for layering this spring. You can find it for sale in my Etsy store!
I have a show coming up in LA called Mars Bizarre: An Alien Show at the Rat Factory Gallery, in a few days. I ordered a wood panel canvas from Cascadian Canvas Craft last week and then got to work painting it. It sat in my studio with just the green on it for days as I thought about how I was going to pull my thoughts together. I wanted to make this piece about more about how we are all aliens, strange, and not belonging that about little green men from space. It still has an other worldly quality, but the mirror helps reflect the viewer and the room they are standing in. I hope it is received well in the art show. This piece definitely has a piece of my soul in it.
