Local artist Autumn Steam brings you an educational art show for the month of January 2021. Located at The Infinity Room, 210 Liberty St SE, in downtown Salem, Autumn will display her fungi photography with an interactive display (smart phone needed), about each mushroom including its scientific name, description and even a look at the spores microscopically, for the month of November. Stop in during their business hours to see the show. Order some food to help support them too! Autumn has been a photographer for over 20 years and a part of the Willamette Valley Mushroom Society since 2017. She is the Chairperson for the Virtual Mushroom Show, and has spent the past year developing a fungi curriculum to teach people about mushrooms and mushroom identification. Due to Covid-19 WVMS could not do their annual Mushroom Show in person, so she proposed a virtual show. A month later the Infinity Room asked Autumn to show her artwork in their new space, and Autumn decided to merge her passions together to show mushroom artwork, and offer a little education as well. The virtual show has been postponed due to the wildfires. Please visit the WVMS Virtual Mushroom Show at www.wvmssalem.org to learn more about the fungi in our area. The photography will be for sale and due to the pandemic I will only be accepting remote payments through, Venmo, PayPal or Square. Etsy Handmade MarketLike this virtual event on Facebook!

Mini Canvas ShowThe month of October 2017 at Art Department, Salem, OR.
I was honored to win an award for the Best Portrait/Figure category for my Frida Kahlo typographical portrait. Faith in the Flesh"Over the years, tattoos have evolved from antisocial defiance to general fashion statement. Models, movie stars and public figures wear them. People of faith, too. We invite you to explore people's relationship to faith and spirituality through tattoos and the stories behind them. 'To have a faith-based tattoo is to literally incarnate your faith upon your person. Through story and art, we can see what faith looks like in the mundane, in the everyday.'" Rev. Abigale Buckley
Portland Metro Episcopal Campus Ministry (PMECM) invites you to a fabulous photo exhibit entitled “Faith in the Flesh.” Sponsored by PMECM through a grant from The Episcopal Church, this exhibit opens at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral on September 17 and runs through November 5. This unique show explores spirituality through tattoo art featuring the work of celebrated photographer and Trinity member Danny Bronson. With images and accompanying written stories in this free exhibit, we hope to share the deep meaning associated with spiritual body art.
PMECM always looks for new ways to connect with young adults and students. Tattoos have a special way of sharing life stories as the cultural status of tattoos has steadily evolved from an anti-social activity to a form of self-expression. Today it is not unusual to find tattoos on fashion models, movie stars and public figures. But what about the church? What about the unspoken homilies that body art preaches every day? We thought it could be fun to share spiritual tattoo art and spur conversations about faith through this exhibit. We hope to see you at Faith in the Flesh, and look forward to sharing art and faith stories with the broader community. If you are interested in more information about PMECM we would love to grab a cup of coffee or lunch! For more information contact [email protected]. Sunnyside Piazza Pole ProjectJune 2017

O-Face Show
THE INSTALLATION: The intent of the piece is to allow any artists that work under any level of anonymity to show their face publicly, which is one of the the most vulnerable states for such an artist. The addition of the orgasm adds a more intimate and controversial detail to the photographic work. The photos will go uncredited. This will be the first time that many of these artists faces will be seen in public, anonymously, as the focus of a collective work. It will involve images of artists and people from all walks of life.
