Creature Series

The Creature Series is a series of paintings and art dolls. First I will sketch or paint a creature then I will create that same creature from fabric and found objects. You can find the original pieces for sale here or find prints available on Society 6 or Deviant Art.

This is Sea Deer, come to life. As part of my Creature Series, I first paint a creature then bring it to life as an art doll. This doll was made from found objects and strategically assembling those parts into this one of a kind doll. It has real antlers mounted to a porcelain head that I then painted. I attached the head to a body and wrapped it's torso in a series of acrylic and bamboo yarns. I then sewed the tentacles leaving the threads to dangle. This is a wonderful piece of art that would be great for both art collectors and doll collectors. Due to its fragile nature, this is not a toy. The doll is about 27 inches tall from tentacle to antler tip. Comes with the stand.
