Have you ever taken a walk in the woods in the early springtime? There are shelf mushrooms of all kinds, ruffling out of old stumps. This sculpture is an anthropomorphic study of the Stereum hirsutum mushroom. The shelf mushrooms in yellows and gold flair out of the face. This sculpted figure is glazed to look like the mushrooms and the back of the piece is glazed with a graphic native PNW plants. The entire piece is hung with leather cord and ready to hang.
