Three Fates Platter

This is a stunning free form ceramic platter. I made this out of a white bodied stoneware clay and cut the edges so they were a bit scalloped and uneven. I then carved in the three fates design, of three faces in the middle of the platter and added hexagon texture throughout. The glazing was achieved by layering thin layers of under glazed pale turquoise and a final coat of gritty texture to give it the depth of the cosmos. Finally, I added a bit of gold around the rim to highlight the form. The bottom of the piece is done in a teal underglaze with an eye pattern. This piece is a true show stopper.



All food safe glazes and it is even dishwasher safe, if you need to. Do not microwave because of the gold.
