I drew this mermaid last night. I really like how she turned out. This was just a doodle, but I may have to do a larger piece like this. "Mermaid and Friends" ink on paper, 5.5x4.5 inches, 2014.

I doodled this piece last night before I went to bed. "Spring Came" Ink on Paper, 5.5x4.25 inches, 2014.
Today I finished a sweet little summer dress. I made it out of reclaimed fabrics. The color combo is so bright and cheerful. It will be available at Stone Buddha starting tomorrow. If it does not sell there, I will add it to my Etsy store in April.
I drew this bird skeleton with a white pencil on black paper. Then I outlined it with a gold pencil to give it a glowing effect. "Phoenix" Pencil on Archival Black Drawing Paper, 11x14 inches, 2014.
Today I made an upcycled dress made from vintage silk and rayon. I am so ready for it to be spring. It is available on Etsy!
Today was another little doodle. I think this one is a little night fairy. "Moon Light" 5.25x4.5 inches, ink on paper, 2014.
This was just a tiny little doodle I did while hanging out in my bed the other night. "Follow The Wind" 5.25x4.5 inches, Ink on Paper, 2014.
I created a wonderfully romantic hanging lamp on this Valentines Day. It was made from my stash of white lace, crochet, and linens. I hand stitched the entire thing using a metal shade frame as my base. I then embellished it with vintage buttons and bits of lace. It is for sale in my Etsy store for and includes the hanging fixture. I am really proud of this piece. Lighting is one of my absolute favorite things to create. My own house is full of eclectic lamps that really set the mood.
I also attached a photo of the awesome Skull Valentines Day cards that Maurice and I made for his first grade class. I am one proud mamma. Today I did not really make any art but I did sew a few new things. The first is a nightgown called Sweet Dreams and the second is an up cycled top called Forever spring. Both are available in my etsy store www.autumnsteam.etsy.com "Acorn Magic" is a little steampunk sculpture that lights up. That is a real oak twig that has the little acorn tops still attached to the branch. I attached beads and watch faces in the cavities and then sculpted a tiny winged creature out of found objects and wire. At the base of the piece is a tiny vacuum tube that lights up with the flick of a switch. This is 8.5 inches tall and 3 inches wide.
