The Virgo Art Coat is a custom coat made for an amazing artist. The outer part of the coat is made from vintage wool, black lace, heavy tapestry fabrics, linen and silk. The lining is made from hand dyed cottons. I cut out large circles and quilted them on the coat to create my own fabric. The contrast between the black and white with the splashes of color is simply incredible. They entire hem is hand embroidered and I sewed on hundreds of buttons along the collar and hem. This is an incredibly full and heavy coat. I am so excited with how this piece turned out. Truly a wearable piece of art.
I was recently commissioned to make a computer bag. I hand dyed the fabric then sewed the padded bag together with dividers and zippered pockets. After it was sewn I added leather handles and rings on the side for a shoulder strap. We loved how this turned out!
Here is a beautiful custom wrap skirt I made earlier this month. It is made with vintage scraps, a cotton print and black linen. The yellow linen with the white lace is actually a pocket. If you are interested in a custom free form wrap skirt please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here is a great reversible drape twist dress in black and a fun grey and neon yellow print! It is available on my Etsy Store!
