Day 16

"Full Moon" Watercolor and ink on wood, 9x24 cm, 2014.

My mind has been racing with new ideas that I can barely put together. Everything was jumbled up there in the grey matter today but I did manage to produce a couple pieces.

I am doing a bunch of research for a new children's book I have in the works and decided to just draw what I have been looking at all day. So I drew and painted an owl on wood today with a checker board. But after I was finished with the piece, I realized it looked exactly like this piece of street art that had been coming up in my searches all day.

So I couldn't publish that.

Back to the drawing board (thanks brain)...But I am glad I was sent back. This little owl is so great! I am really excited about the style and colors of this. It really pops on the piece of wood too.

I will string ribbon through the top two holes and hang the piece that way.
